MCRE MEN THAN WOMEN
~ HAVE APPENDICITIS
Surgeons state men are slightly
mcre subject to appendicitis than wo
men. Cordele people should know
that a few doses of simple buckthorn
bark, glycerine, etc., as mixed in Ad
ler-i-ka often relieve or prevent ap
pendicitis. This mixture removes
such surprising foul matter that ONE
SPOONFUL relieves almost ANY
CASE constipation, sour stomach or
gas. The INSTANT, easy action of
Adler-i-ka is suprising. A. M. Stead,

If Present Ratio Continues This Coun
try Wiil Use All the Raw Material
In Twenty Years. s
Norfolk, Va., Dec. 14.—Practically
the whole of the great American cot
ton crop will be converted into the fin
ished fabric in American mills twen
ty years from ncw if the present an
nual ratio of increase continues, de
clared Col. Harvie Jordon, president
of the Southern Cotton Growers Asso
ciation, today in an address before
-the Scuthern Commercial Congress.
If this prediction be fulfilled, he said,
he ultimate annual vale of each crop
would reach the enormous total of $5.-
000,000,000.
“Phe South now occupies the lead
ing position in cotton mill consump
ticn throughout the world,” said Col.
Jordan . “It consumes annually more
lint cotton than all of the textile
mills of Great Britain, more than all
those of England and the balance of
the United States combined and more
than all the combined countries of
Eurcpe.” A few years age, he assert
‘ed, 75 per cent of the raw cotton had
' to be exported while now foreign inills
under peace conditions could not ex
' pect more than 50 per cent.
oPinting out that it was the country
or secticn which manufactures the
‘raw material into the finished product
itlmt secures the maximum of value
from such preduct, Col. Jordan declar
' ed that the present medium yield of
the South’s cotten crop, soid for its
full value for the first time since the
civil war, wculd bring growers $l.-
2£0,000,000. THe said present high
prices of the staple was due largely
to the Federal Reserve banking sys
tem and the cotton futures law.

W. W. CONNER TELLS CORDELE
FRIENDS HIS WIFE HOD BEEN
IN BED SIX MON FH3—NOW
DOES GOOD DEAL OF HER OWN
WORK.
There is not a man, woman or child
in Crisp or Dooly counties who is not
willing to be convinced by the right
kind of evidence and there is not 2
gingle one of them who does:_x't know
that the statements of good people
right here in the community where
they were born and raised is the very
strengest kind of evidence that ceuld
pessibly be produced.
This is the kind of evidence that has
made Tanlac famous all over the
world, and it is a fact of importance
to every reader of this paper that
hundreds of people right here in Cor
dele and throughout this county are
taking the medicine and testifying tc
.he remarkable benefits they are re
ceiving from it.
One of the latest to speak out in
this regard was W. W. Conner, a well
known farmer and lifelong citizen of
this section who lives just across the
line in Dooly county only a few miles
from Cordele. Mr. Conner was in
town a few days ago and dropped in
at Ryals Drug Store to get another
bottle of Tanlac and tell T. E. Jen
nings and some other friends how
much he thought of the medicine and
what a blessing it had been to his wife.
“I just want to say that this Tanlac
has done more for my wife than I ever
thought a medicine could,” said Mr.
connor, “for she’d been down in bed
six months when she begun to take
it, and now she’s up and about most of
he time and feeling so much better ev
ery day that she’s just like a differ
ant woman.” - |
“She had been doctored for stomach
trouble and indigestion and I don’t
know what-all else until it begun to
look like nothing on earth was going
to help her, and I actually spent $212
for drugs for her at one time. We
finally decided to try Tanlac and the
very first bottle helped her up more
than anything she’d taken in years.
“She’'s taken two bottles now and
she’s so much livlier and stouter that
she is doing a good deal of her work,
and I think a few more bottles will
make her sound and well. This medi
cine has done all of that for her and
I wan to say to all suffering pecple
that it is -a great medicine. I live
right over the line and nearly every
body in Crisp and Dooly counties know
me, and I'm ready to back up what
I say and prove to all suffering people
what Tanlac has done for us.”
Beyond a doubt there are hundrsds
of weakened, run donwn people right
in this section who are sorely in need
of Tanlac as ever Mrs. Conner was.
Tanlac creates a healthy appetite,
builds up the system, prifies the blood,
promote sdigestion, and invigorates
and re-vitalizes the system in a way
that brings back the ccler to the
cheeks and the sparkle of health to the
eyes.
Tanlac is the direct specific for
catarrhal conditions of the mucous
membranes, and it relieves the effects
of prolonged colds and stopped-up, dis
agreeable conditions so common to
the early months of winter.
