HOSTETTEE’S
STOMACH BITTERS.
The proprietors ;inJ manufacturers .of IH)S
TETTEICS CEI.KHRATEI) SfoMACTI HIT
TERS can appeal with perfect confidence t
physicians and citizens generally ol the hinted
States, because the article has attained a repu
tation heretofore unknown. A few facts ttpdu
this point will tpeak more powerfully than
volumes of bare assert ion or tylszoning puffery
The consumption of Hos tetter’s Stomucli Hit
ters for the last year amounted to over a half
million bottles, and front its niuiiifcst steady
increase in times past, it is evident ..lint during
the coming year the consumption will t each
nearonc million bottles. This lßitticijse (mount
could never have been sold but for the rat#
medicinal properties contained in the prepum
tion, and the sanction of the most prominent
physicians in those sections of the country
where the article is best known, who not only
recommend the Hitters to their patients, hut
are ready at all times to give testimonials to it*
efficacy in nil cases of stomachic derailgementa
and tliMaiscascs resulting (heretroui.
This is not a temporary popularity, obtained
by extraordinary efforts in the way of trum
peting the qualities'of the Bitters, but a soh l
estimation of un invaluable medicine, which is
destined to bo ns enduring as time itself.
Ilosictter’s Stomach Hitters have proved
a Godsend to regions where fever end ngi j
and various other bilious cmjLinks have
counted their victims by Lamb ed:. To ha
able to sfato confidently that the ••Hitlers”
nro a certain cure for the Dyspepsia and like
diseases, is to the proprietors a source of un-
Liioycd pleasure. It removes all morbid matter
from the stomach, purifies Ihe blood, and
imparls renewed vitality to the nervous system,
giving it that tone and energy indispem able
for the restoration of health. It operates upon
the stomach, liver, and other digestive organs,
mildly but powerfully, and soon restores them
to acondition essential to the healthy discharge
of 1 lie functions of nature.
, Elderly persons may use Ihe Billers daily as
per dircctiontron the bottle, and they will tind
in it a stimulant peculiarly adapted to conduit
declining years, ns it is pleasant to the palate,
invigorating to the bowels, excellent as a tunic,
and rejuvenating generally. We have the evi
dence of thousands of nged men and women
who have experienced the benefit of using this
preparation while suffering from stomach de
rangements and general debility; acting under
the advice of physicians, they have abandoned
all deleterious drugs und fairly tested thu
merits of this article. A few words to the
gentler sex. There are certain periods when
their cares are so harassing that many of them
sink under the irial. The relation Os mother
and child is so absorbingly tender, that the
mother, especially if she be young, is apt to
forget her own health in her extremenuxiety
for her infant. Should the period of maternity
arrive during Ihe summer season, (lie wear of
body and miud is generally aggravated. Here,
then, is a necessity for a stimulant to recupe
rate the energies of tho system, and enable the
mother to bear up under her exhausting trial*
and responsibilities. Nursing mothers gene
rally prefer the Bitters to nil other invigorn
tors that receive tho endorsement of physi
cians, because it is agreeable to the taste as
x well as certain to give a permanent, increase
of bodily strength. Q
All those persons, to whom we have particu •
larly referred above, to wit: sufferers from
fever aud ague, caused by malaria, diarrhoea,
dysentery, indigestion, loss of appetite, and
all diseases dr derangements of the stomach,
superannuated invalids, persons of sedentary
occupation, and nursing mothers, will consult
their own physical welfare by giving to Hos
tel ter’* Celebrated fitomneb Hitters a trial.
CAUTION. — We caution tho public against
