LAGRANGE IWOT CWNTY, GA, TOESDAY, APRIL 18 1899 KMC AIK IMHT, THEM ttO AHIAA" NEW ROAD MACHINE ißutrhased by the County Commissioners Prov es Very Satisfac tory. Last week a reporter of The GtßAiPtfic saw the new road work ing machine, recently f*unchased by the County uulhoHities, at work. By the investment of this small, sum of money chairman Griftin and his associate® on the board of commissioners. will save the people of Troup county thousands oi dollars, and at the same time make better roads than the county lias ever had. The machine is known as a "scraper” and under the manipu lation of Mr. C. W. Corliss, it does as much work in one day as probably fifty hands could do under the old system, and does it much better, 'the machine is made so as to be adjusted at any angle, and leaves the road well rounded off and perfectly firm. All who have seen the work done by Mr. Corliss are high in their praise of the way the roads are being put in good condition. The county commis sioners are to be rpost highly commended lor this purchase, and as soon as they can secure the full road making equipment Troup county will have the best and most economically worked roads in the state. • Full line of Heckers cereal, tor breakfast at C.
