ed of a one day’s session al which very
little business was transacted. It had
one good effect, however; it relieved
the jail of several of its inmates.
Last night Mr. J. P. Sawtell was not
resting as well as he has been, but as
there has been no symptoms of an*,
other attack his family and friends are
hopeful of his ultimate recovery.

Editor J. P. Sawtell, the, senior edi
tor of the Griffin Morning Call, was
stricken'with paralysis Munday after
noon while out riding. His condition
was somewhat improved yesterday and
the indications point to a speedy re
covery County Journal.
We regret very muqh to learn that
Col. J P. Sawtell, editor of the Griffin
Call, was stricken with paralysis the
other day, Col. Sawtell ia greatly be
loved by all wbo know bim. He baa
made a moat enviable record in Geor
gia journalism. We trust be will be
spared to bis family and the profession
which he has adorned for many years

The Liberal-Enterprise regrets to
learn that Editor J. P. Sawtell, of the
Griffin Call, waa stricken with paraly
sis Monday. He waa in the very beat
of health al the time of hia affliction,
and it waa a shock to bia many frienda.

The city waa surprised and shocked
yesterday about eleven o’clock by the
news that J. P. Sawtell, the proprietor
of the Griffin Call, had been stricken
, with that dreadful disease, paralysis.
His alarmed friends began to inquire
about him, and it was soon found that
the sad news was true. * * * He now
lies al home with bis right side totally
paralyzed. All Griffin hopes that be
may improve and the News and Sun
joins all others in wishing that Mr.
Sawtell may be spared to bis family
