The indications last night were that we would have a heavy frost this morning, and possibly a light freeze. The Griffin Berner club held a meet ing yesterday and invited the senator to address the citizens of this county at his earliest convenience. Miss Lora Steele has been on the sick list two or three days, but is able to be out at this writing. E. T. Kendall and G. H. Steele attended quarterly meeting at Williamson Saturday and report a very pleasant time. Mrs. J. L. Vaughn has been confined to her bed for two or three days, from a se vere attack of neuralgia, but is able to be up some now. Prof. A. W. Jackson and J. B. Reeves spent Saturday In Griffin. J. T. Beasly is reported as being some better at this writing. W. B. Jackson and wife, of Hollonvllle, spent Saturday night here with J. B. Reeves. J. B. Reeves spent Sunday evening at Williamson. A.
