Be it or dained by the mayor and council of the city of Griffin, and it is hereby ordained by authority of same. That from and af ter the passage of this ordinance the City Attorney shall hold his office for the term of two years and until his successor is elected and qualified, and shall be elected by ballot by the mayor and council of said city at the last meeting in November, 1898, and at the same meeting bi-anually thereafter.
