Huxford is from Jes sup, Ga , and was universaly liked by both men and officers. His remains were sent to the nation al cemetery at Marietta last night, where they will be buried today. They were accompanied by an hon< orary escort consisting of Corporal Robinson and eight privates. Beck yesterday morning sent to the governor bis Ist* ter, resigning the office ol judge of the Flint circuit. It is generally known that Judge Beck is a major in the 3rd Georgia regiment, and is stationed at Camp Nortben. The prominent candidates for the vacancy are Col. E J. Reagan, of Mo* Donougb, and Col. Y. J. Allen, of Thomaston. Politics is very uncertain, and it is not known who the governor will appoint. 6 1100 Baw'art 8100.
