Mr. JlcKinley is really receiving more t loyal support from Southern Demo crats than from Norihen Republicans. One reason for thia is, we think, that the Southern newspapers, a* a rule have much more well defined idea* about truth telling and fairness than their Northern contemporaries, most of whom seem to have no scruple in printing a falsehood, direct or indi rect, in news column* or editorial, to •core a political point.—Greenville (8.
