The readers of this paper will be pleased
to learn that there is at least one dreaded
disease that science has been able to cure
in all its stages and that is Catarrh. Hall's
Catarrh Cure is tbeonly positive cure now
known in the medical fraternity. Catarrh
being a constitutional disease, requires a
constitutional treatment. Hall’s Catarrh
Cure is taken internally, acting directly
upon the blood and mucous surfaces of
the system, thereby destroying the foun
dation of the disease, and giving the
, patient strength by building up the consti
-1 tution and assisting nature in doing its
work. The proprietors have so much faith
in its curative power, that they offer One
Hundred Dollars for any case that it fails
to cure. Send for list of Testimonials.

The Thomasville Visit-
Some of the politicians and a few
of the newspapeis are quite certain
that the President did not go to
Thomasville for rest, as announced,
but for the purpose of planning for his
reno.nination. He wanted, they say,
to get away from the office-seeking
crowd and official cares and have a
talk with Senator Hanna, and other
political advisUors io whom he baa
confidence, concerning the presiden
tial campaign which will soon open,
and to agree upon a programme for
controlling the national convention.
It is doubtful if the President went
to Thomasville with any such purpose.
Politics will probably be discussed dur
ing his stay in the delightful Georgia
town, but it is pretty safe to say that
not much will be done in the direction
of planning for a renomination. A*
far as the shrewdest politician can
now see, the President will be renomi
nated without a very great effort on
hie part, and without a great deal of
assistance from bis friends. His ap
pointments have been so distributed
that he is pretty certain of solid dele
gations from the south and the territo
ries. His friends in office will see to
lt"tli»t his interests are properly eared
for. In order to get a renomination
be will have to have only a bare ma
jority. Without making an effort he
will have within 140 or 150 of enough
delegates from the south and the ter
ritories to nominate him, and be ought
to have no difficulty in getting that
number in the west and east.
He is not worrying about his re
nomination. The talk that he is in
Thomasville planning for his renomi
nation grew out of the fact, probably,
that he paid a visit to that town four
years ago, and liad some conferences
with politicians who visited him there
about his candidacy for the nomina
tion for President.
It may be that the question of re
nomination of Vice-President Hobart
will receive some attention. Still, it
seems pretty well admitted that be is
satisfactory to his party and to the
President. The party might fare a
great deal worse if it should make a
change. He is on the best of terms
with a.l of the interests which favor
the renomination of the president. It
is safe to assume that those who dic
tated the ticket in 1896 have decided,
so far as they are able to control the
situation, that the ticket in 1900 shall
be McKinley and Hobart—Savannah
