Itev. C. Dowe returned lost night

effect that the East Tennessee system
has bought out the Central system.
The rumor probably originated in the J
fact that the Central has lately been
running on East Tennessee time- that
is, on no particular time at all.
There will be a total eclipse of the

the spectacle will be an interesting one.
The moon will rise totally eclipsed at

Tho Baptist reunion on Thursday
night was a most enjoyable affair, with
music and the most pleasant social fea
hires. In spite of the other entertain
meats goiug on, it was largely attended
and such was its success that it will be
made a frequent feature bereaf er. The
intention now is to floor the basement—
costing only about $75—and holding
many entertainments there that could
not well be held iu tho audience room.
