A revival beginning with a college
commencement is not exactly In the
usual order of things in our country,
but one great work of God had its be¬
ginning in the commencement of the
Central Turkey college. At that time the
houses of the members of the churches
were full of visiting brethren from nil
parts of Central Turkey. Very frequent
services were held day aad night, quite
naturally. In one of these n native
preacher, named Jenanian, held forth
with unusual nower, and a deep religious
interest resulted. Once the fire was
kindled, it spread with rapidity. All
of the churches ware crowded with
eager listeners. Christian faces fairly
shone with their glad enjoyment nwtfpP ottM
religious life. Wherever they
greeted each Other with warm hearts.
All of die militaries, including the
teachers in the colleges and the schools,
gave their aid at once. The Armenians
thronged the Churches, and even Jews
and Mohammedans began to inquire
what it all meant. There ware at least
800 converts already enrolled, and hun¬
dreds of inquirers still seeking salvation
when the first reports came. Later news
has come, showing that 850 were re¬
ceived into the churches mi one Sunday
and 388 the next, and yet the end was
