Finding a Drowned Has,
One of the popular superstitions among
tne negroes ia thui a bundle of fodder
thrown into water where a drowned per
son is, the fodder will float around until
a is attracted directly over the body,
when it will rapidly twirl around, thus
showing the position of the dead. In
fishing for the body of Seaborn Tucker,
the negro drowned last week in the river,
this method was tried; from some cause
or other however it did not succeed.
