There are many reasons why our
people should exert themselves to
make a floe display of their pro

by thousands of people from all
parts ot the country, many of whom
will be looking for a location in
which to settle. There Is at this

and pride in their development.
And indeed lie had good reason to
be proud for they gave promise of
long lives of success and usefulness.
Bat an evil day came. Ills young
cst son, Willism, began to show
signs of an early decay, no felt
unusually tired each day, and
would sometimes sleep tbo entire
afternoon if permitted to do so.
His head pained hint, not acutely,
but widi it dull, heavy feeling.
There vias a sinking sensation at
the pit of Ids stomach, lie lost
sli relish for (nod and much of his
interest for tilings about Idm. He
tried manfully to overcome these
feelings, but they seemed stronger
than his will. Ho began to lose
flesh rapidly. Tho father became
alarmed and consulted physiu acs
ns to the cause of Ids son’s illness,
but they were unable to explain.
Finally severe sores broke out on
his arms and he was taken to Buf
falo where a painful ope.ation was
performed resulting in the loss of
muok blood but affording little re
lief. The young man returned
homo and n council of physicians
was called. After an exhaustive
examination they declared there
was no hope of a final recovery
and that ho must die with-
in a very few days. To de
scribe the agony which this an
nouncement caused the father
would be impossible. His mind

doctors interposed, assuring her it

hasten tho end by the moans she
proposed to employ. But sho was
firm, and putting all back, ap
preached her brother’s side and ad
ministered n remedy which she for
tunately had on hand. Within an
hour lie seemed more easy, and
before tho day was over ho showed
signs of decided improvement.
1’heso favorable signs continued,
and to-day William B. Rindge is
well, having been virtually raised
from tbe dead through tne marvel
ous power of Warner's Safe Cure,
as can bo readily verified by any
citizen ol Cortland.
Any one who reflects upo.i tbo
facts above described must have a
feeling ot sadness. The fatber,
dead by Ids own band, supposing

the son restored to health to mourn
the loss of his fatber and tbo ago
nized relatives with a memory of

lives. Had Clinton Kindge known
that Ids son could recover lie would
to-day bo alive and happy, but tbe
facts which turned Ids brain and
caused him to commit suicide were
such as any one would accept as
true.
However sad this case may be.
