The christening of the new reel
last night was undoubtedly a big
affair. We will have full report
to-morrow.
Mr. Summers, of Barnesville, of

was in the city yesterday.
Mrs. Emma Wheatley, who has
been visiting in Monroe county,
has returacd home, accompanied
by her cousins, Misses Kawls and

The Banker’* Daughter.
It is not often we ‘notice a the
atrical company after the perform
ance. But the Banker's Daughter
Combination deserves everything
good that can be said about it.
Tbe unanimous expression of sat
isfaction from all who were there,
induces us to make this notice for
tbe benefit of this first class com-
pany. One of the best encomiums
we heard was from a young lady,
who said, “I could hare sat all
through a second performance tbe
same night.” From another party,
“The whole support was excellent,”
and still another, "Every actor
was good, and were just the per
sons for the parts.”—Corry Tele
graph, Oct. Kith.
