The fire caught from a stove pipe, and the house, which was a wooden framed structure, was soon consumed. Nearly all the furni ture was saved b/ hard work, a few clothes being burned. The loss is estimated at about two hundred dollars. Mr. Cheek is an honest, hard working man and the loss fulls quite heavy on him, espcciall; as it comes at a season when farmers are most busy getting their crops un der way.
