COTTON STATEMENT.
From the Chronicle's cotton artl-
ticle of November II, the following
facts are gathered relative to the
movement of the crop of the past
week.
For the week ending this even
ing, November 11, the total reeeipta
have reaches! 801,600 hales, against
SMI,174 bales last week, gut,1181 bales
the previous week and -71,7181 hales
three weeks since; making the total
reoelpta since the 1st of Heptcmlier,
1887, 2,h40,846 bales against 1,8811,1115
bales for the same iterhsl of Inhii,
showing an Increase since Meptem-
ber 1, 1887, of 451,8:51 bales.
The old Interior stocks have In-
creased during the week .'18,278 bales
and are to-night 24,050 bales more
than at the same period last year.
The reeeipta at the aaine towns
have been 10,704 bales less than the
same week last year, and since
tteptember I, the receipts at nil
the towns are 217,0411 hales more
than for the same time In 1880.
The total receipts from the plan
tations since September 1, 1887, are
",604,058 bales; in 1880 were 2,1*8,-
658 balea; la 1885 were 2,150,017
bales.
Although the receipts at the nut-
porte the past week were 801,000
bglaa, the actual movement from
plantations was ^40,001 bales, the
balance being taken from the stocks
at the interior towns, laist year
plantations
for the same week were 811,508 bales,
and for 1885 they were 255,848 bales.
The imports In continental porta
