‘Hermlnle,” Nasi Tuesday, October 20.
The minagement of the Opera
House have secured a very strong
attrhotlon for next Tuesday In 11 Wil
liam Itedmund” and hie great Mili
tary Drama "Hermlnle," which
will be presented with the liberality
for which Rcdmund Is so well
known In tho Southern cities. The
company oarry all their own spe
cial scenery, calcium lights, and
mechanical effects for this produc
tion, and nothing Is left undone to
presont “Hermlnle” In the same
manner exactly as in the cities
where It hoe been already played
over 1,000 night*. Redmund, al
though a stranger In Amerlcue, bos
toured the South twloo before, and
Is well known In all the large towns.
The late David Bldwell, writing to
Manager O’Brien, of Birmingham,
before Redmund appeared there,
saye “Hermlnle” Is tho strongest
and best attraction ever in my
house, and I ahsll be pleased to see
them next season." Unfortunately
Mr. Bldwell died before hie hopes
could be realised. “Heimlnle” Is
note heavy drama, but la full of
beautiful acenes and situations,
some quit* startling In effeot, and
Is freely luterpereed with line com
edy and pathos. It appeals direct
ly to the very best class at people,
and In the last Redmund Is quite
noted for the fashionable and large
lady audiences ha plays to, at tho
same time the upper part of the
houso are always well tilled, as the
comical and mechanical effects
never fall to please the “gode.” Ho
doubt Amerieu* will not be behind
her neighbors In patronizing a flret
class attraction and the theatre will
be filled next Tuesday to greet
William Redmund and bla comps
ny In “Hermlnle.”
