The Macon Door, Sash and Lom. ber Company have the contract for ereotlng the structure, and are mak ing great efforts to have the build ing substantial aa well as beautiful Messrs. The ladle* of the church have undertaken this work, and have already raised about one thousand dollar* for this purpose. The building com mittee Is composed of S. H. Hawk- Ins, chairman, Messrs. John Wind sor, M. Calloway, R. T. Byrd and Thornton Wheatley. Mr. Wheat- ley .la secretary of the building committee, and has devoted a great deal ot his time and attention to Jhe building of this house of wor ship. Work on the building commenc ed last May and the comer stone was laid in Jane. The cbarch will probably be fin ished and ready for occupancy some time In January. The good people of the church are now accomplishing n great under taking,and should be congratulated upon being able to so successfully push the erection of this churoh to It completion. Water Tank. He Informed a reporter that he had bad a long interview with Tom Woolfolk, who In answer to ques tions, said: “I'v* got nothing to say beyond wbetlhave said time and again. Manager Stanfield, of the West ern Union telegraph office, has re ceived Instructions from Supt.
