ble*. The Farmer*' Alliance* was
never organized in tliia county till
till* year, but we now have flfleen
subordinate Alliance*in the county
and It la *tiil growing. They were
able fo capture all Hie county offi
ces, which caused some tall kick
ing. but to no good. The chairman
of the true blues, (old ring/ led
the revolt, and made an effort to
hold another election for delegates,
which proved a slgual failure. The
true blues claimed (hat the Alliance
delegates, having met the previous
•Veiling and formed their plan of
action, vitiated the whole proceed
ings and rendered it undemocratic,
hsnee their justification in seeking
aid of tho Republican party to de
feat It. Had* couldn't see it. All
qoiet.
I attended the county Alliance
the first of October, some ,'M) miles
north of where I live. The coun
try through which I passed was
alternately broken and plains, poor
and rich. I saw some of the finest
•ad most fertile pine lands I ever
•aw In any country, high, dry ami
healthy. Crop! as fine as river
bottom*, the people a* intelligent
and hospitable as ever graced the
earth. They did everything in
