A building up
of the entire system follows the use
of Dr. Pierce’s Favorite Prescrip
tion. It’s an invigorating, restora
tive tonic, soothing cordial and
bimcing ncrvino — and a certain
remedy for all tho functional de
rangements, painful disorders or
ohronio weaknesses peculiar to wo
men. It improves digestion, en
riches the blood, dispels aches and
puns, melancholy and nervousness,
brings refreshing sleep, and restores
flesh and strength. For periodical
puns, internal inflammation and ul
ceration, leucorrhea and kindred ail
ments, it is a positive specific—a
guaranteed one. If it fails to give
satisfaction, in any case, the money
paid for it is refunded. No other
medicine for women is sold on these
term,. With an ordinary medicine,
it can’t bo done.
That’s tho way its makers prove
their faith in it. Contains no alco
hol to inebriate; no syrup or sugar
to derange digestion ; a legitimate
medicine, not a beverage. Purely
vegetable and perfectly harmless in
any condition of the system.

Chicago, May 14.—Thomas A Edison
arrived here to-day. When asked If he
hat) an electric novelty in store for the
Columbian exposition, he said:
“1 have a thingin view,but the details
are yet somewhat hazy. My intention
is to have a happy combination of
photography and electricity, that
man can sit in hif own parlor
and see depicted on a curtain the forms
of the players in opera on a distant
stage and hear the voices of the singers.
When the system is perfected, which
will be in time for the fair, each little
muscle of the singer’s face will be seen
to work, every color of his attire will be
exactly reproduced, and the stride and
positions will be natural and will vary
as do those of the person himself.
“To the sporting fraternity I will state
that ere long this system can be applied
to prize lights. The whole scene, with
the noise of the blows, talk, etc., will be
truthfully transferred. Arrangements
can be made to send views of the mill
a la stock and race ticker.
