Rochellc, September 10.—[Special]—
A bold robbery was perpetrated beie
yesterday at about noon.
While Mr. A. E. Shappell, of the
Rackott store, wss at home getting bis

who had bought some goods during the
morning, came to the store and hearing
someone rattling silver inside, com
menced to pound on the door for admit
tance, thinking that Mr. Chappell was
inside, but getting no response he
looked through the front window and
saw a negro at tho money drawer. He
called to Mr. A. F. Hamilton, who was
near by and tbe gentlemen of color was
soon overhauled aud then confessed the
crime.
His Honor Judge McConnell very
promptly committed the gontloinin to

Nothing adds so much to tbe beauty
of a fair girl, aa a dear, bright, healthy
complexion, and to tenure this pure
blood le indispensable. So many of the
to-called blood purifiers sold to improve
a rough, pimply, muddy akin, only drive
the scrofulous humors from tbe surface
to some internal vital organ, and disease
and death Is the inevitable result. On
the contrary, Dr. Pierce’s Golden Medl-
cel Discovery strikes directly at the root
leevtl, by driving the impur' '
entirely out of the system, and with a
fresh stream of pure blood flowing
through the veins, nothing but the
softest and fairest of complexion can
result.

You know the old adage "Goods
well bought are half sold.” "When
we buy staples—wo look for the
best qualities obtainable—when we
buy specialties, we look not alone
for quality, bat for the effects that
the finest fancies and the latest
fads demand. Tn addition to this
we always look for the lowest price
that factories will give, and the
best of it is, we don't stop looking
until we get there on all three
points—quality, style and price.
After gossiping on trade, novel
ties and prices—gossip naturally
drifts to the Artesian corner, our
store does not look very nice now;
but it’s going to look nice inside
of ten days, for by that time we
will get rid of carpenters who are

Its not much gossip to tell yoa
that when this new stock began to
come in, it did not find our shelves
empty. Here, there and every
where you could find a few odd
sets of glasses and an odd lot of
dishes— a stray lamp or two—the
last "trade orphans" left of a onee
bright lamp family, and we tell you
frnnitly, we don’t like odd lots, we
would just os leave mix a few drops
of the best black ink iu a tub of
artesian water, as to mix these odd
lots, desirable as they are, with the
new lines we are marking up. Its
a question of convenience with us
as much as price—you ought to
see these goods.
Say, did you know that Butler
A Berry were going to keep a full
line of stoves this fall, it’s a foot
indeed.. Of conroe, they don't ex
pect to sell enough to keep the
earth warm, or to cook for the
whole universe, bnt they are going
to keep them and you know that
when Butler A Berry take hold of
a thing they generally get their
share of the trade—they are sorter
built that way.
