Macbeth’s “ pearl top"
and “ pearl glass ’’ lamp-
chimneys do not break from
heat, not one in a hundred;
they break from accidents.
They are made of clear
glass as well as tough, as
clear as crystal. They fit
the lamps they are made
for. Shape controls the
draft. They are shaped
right. Draft contributes to
a er combustion; - that
ss light. They improve
the light of a lamp.
But they cost a dealer
three times as much as
common chimneys, and, as
they do not break, he is apt
to be anxious lest they stop
his trade. Diminished sales
and less profit are not
agreeable to him.
There are two sides to
the question. Talk with him.

BEST OF THE SEASON.
Tho novelties in ohina glassware,

onr city adds one beautiful store

M ,
Ton know the old adage "Goods
well bought are half sold.” When
we buy staples—we look for the
best qualities obtainable—when we
buy specialties, we look not alone
for quality, bat for the effects that
the finest fancies and the latest
fads demand. Jn addition to this
we always look for the lowest price
that factories will give, and the
best of it is, we don’t stop looking
until we get there on all three
points—quality, style and price.
After gossiping on trade, novel
ties and prices—gossip naturally
drifts to the Artesian corner, onr
store does not look very nioe now;
bnt it’s going to look nioe inside
of ten days, for by that time we
will get rid of carpenters who are

Gay, did you know that Butler
A Berry were going to keep a fall
line of stoves this M, it’s a foot
indeed. Of coarse, they don’t ex
pect to sell enough to keep the

whole universe, bnt they are going
to keep them and you know that
when Butler & Berry take bold of
a thing they generally get their
share of the trade—they are sorter
