Mr. L Casper, the tailor, returned to
the city yesterday.
Mr. W. W. Thompson of Smlthville
was in the city yesterday.
Mrs. Guthrie of the public schools Is
very sick at her home on Jackson street.
Mrs. H. G. Bell and babies have re
turned from a protracted stay in Colum
bus.
Mr and Mrs. R. L. McLeod are pre
paring to keep bouse In a pretty cottage
on Forsyth street.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fite's pretty new
residence on Forrest street is completed.
They will soon occupy It.
Miss Jennie Stapleton, daughter of Mr.
George Stapleton, will leave in a fow
days to attend college in LaGrange.
Mr. J. A. Riviere will leave Monday
for the Okeefenokee swamp, where he
will take charge of a large canal gang.
Mr. Pervlance of the S. A. M. returned
yesterday from Birmingham, Ala.,
where he has been for the past several
days.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Wheatley returned
Tuesday night from a lengthy visit to
relatives In New Jersey and Pennsylva
nia. Mr. and Mrs. Wheatley are stop
ping for a few days at the residence of
Mr. Geo. D. Wheatley, on Lee street. «
