Heart’ll Tor Hoey’a Proparty
Asbury Park, N. J.$ Oct. 21.—The
experts in the county clerk’s officr are
busily engaged in search of John Hoey’s
property ou orders from counsel of the
Adams Express company. There were
two lispendens filed in the county clerk’s
office, showing that Henry Sandford,
caeeiuent of the Adam’s Express com
pany, had a lien upon three tracts of
lands ywned by Hoey. and seven of his
cottages, with all personal property and
fixtures in any of Hoey’s hotels and
Heven cottages. Hoey owns, as shown
by search, at least 800 acres of land
around Long Branch and many costly
buildings. There are no records show
ing that he has transferred property to
his wife. The claim of Sandford that
Mrs. Hoey executed the mortgages for
$100,000 to the Gvarautee Trust and
.Safe Deposit company of Philadelphia,
is not proven by records here.
Explored a Mountain.
Vancouver, B.. C., Oct. 21.—I’rofes
nor Isaac O. Russell, who was sent by
the United States government and the
National Geographical society to ex
plore the region about Mount St. Elias,
lias arrived here. He left in June for
Alaska, and went to Icy Bay on the
United States revenue cutter Bear. Hia
partv consisted of T. P. Stainey, N. R.
McCarthy, J. H. Crambnck, Frank 8. 8.
Warner and Thomas White. White
was drowned by the upsetting of a boat,
otherwise the expedition was a com
plete success. They ascended Mount
Elias on the north side, reaching an
elevation of 14.500 feet, when they were
turned hack by clonds and a severe
snow storm. From the observations
taken the mountain is between eighteen
and ninetween thousand feet high. The
party then explored the coast from Icy
Bay to Disenchantment Bfty. a distance
of about one hundred miles.
Senator Gray’. Chance, for Ke-KI.ctlon.
WUJUINOTON. Del., Oct. 21.—A seat
in the United States senate is the prize
that will be captured by the party that
wins the next legislature of Delaware,
and the Farmers' Alliauce is rolling up
its sleeves in a manner which threaten,
some strong fighting from that organi
zation. A successor to Senator George
Gray will be choeen in January. 1893,
and the farmers have already laid plane
for selecting their own man. They are
emphatic in their opposition to Senator
Gray, whose chances for re-election
have hitherto been exceedingly bright.
I Counterfeit Money.
AshburX, Ga., Oct. 01.— Mr. D. H.
Davis, a real estate agent and money
lender of Asliburn, said that he wa*
paid a note of #000 on Friday last in
counterfeit money, mostly in 0-dollar
bills. Mr. Davis lias has tent several
of the bills to Washington for inspec
tion. It has been reported to be in
circulation for some time in this section
and there has been u great many new
bills to lie had here, in fact, all the
money here is new bills. Mr. Davis
says lie will sift it to the bottom.

P. P, P. Saves Life.
SAYS WILL LIVE FOREVER.
A prominent Savannabiar. formerly
superintendent of a railroad says: “I
was crippled in m^feetanJ arms so
that I could not walk without crutohes,
nor eat without having a servant to feed
roe I tried physicians everywhere, but
to no purpose, and finally went to New
York, where my doctors, at one time,
decided to amputate my arm, but found
that course impracticable on account of
a wound I had received during the war.
I returned to Savannah a complete
wreck, and my caae seemingly hopeless.
As a forlorn hope 1 began to take P. P.
P., and am rejoiced to say that after
using three bottles my limbs began to
straighten out, my appetite and health
soon returned, and 1 now feel like a new
man; really, as if I had been made over
again, and as if I could live forever—so
long as I can get P. P. P.”
This gentleman will not give his name
for publication, but authorizes us to
refer anpbody to him for a verification
of these facts, who will apply to us.
