A process for photographing iu colors
has been patented In London, and the
company is aliout to begin business.
A photographer who developed a dry
plate which had been exposed six years be
fore was surprised to obtuin a transparent
print of great beauty, which gave some iu
dicatious of natural colors..
Professor Charcot, the eminent lecturer
on nervous diseases in Paris, has succeeded
in obtaining enlarged photographs of the
brain under various conditions of the dia
ease, a result of great scientific vulue.*
Owing to the abort time left to prepare
exhibits for the proposed exhibition by the
Society of Amateur Photographers at the
New York American Institute fair, it has
been decided to abandon the undertaking,
which will give members more time to get
exhibits ready for the Boston joint exhibi
tion lu 1892.
Mr. George A. Nelson, of l^oweil. Mass.,
was oue of the artists who was successful
enough to have his work accepted at the
International exhibition at Yienim, which
was held under the charge of a club oi
amateurs in that city. Over 400 tried to
get their work accepted, but many well
knowui photographers failed.
