Destitution—Poor Family Suffer
From Cold and Hunger But Relief Is

few hoars before, a poor woman was
fount?yesterday morning,'an object of
as utter misery and suffering as one
coaid picture.
A scene of desolation indeed at this
gladsome season.
Through cracks into which one
coaid pat a .hand the tleak wind
whistled while, without fire or proper
covering the poor woman shivered m
her misery, destitution and want.
Her husband, a bask jt maker, with
out means to provide comforts or
actual necessities, shivered beside her,
trying ai he knew how to lend
a?sistance. J hat the poor woman did
not die, as did her poor little b.ibe, is
indeed a mystery.
The woman is a Mrs. Ammerton,arU
the bam in which she was found is a
part of an abandoned wagon yard on
Jackson street.
As soon as her presence ]there was
discovered kind-hearted citizens went
to the rescae.
Blankets and a bed were sent dowD,
and Mayor Hawkins, as] soon as he
heard the facts in the case, ordered
Marshal Feagin to see that]iher needs
were looked after.
Picture such a scene of harrowing
distress, if you can. The couple are""
poor but deserving white people, end
had anyone eyen suspocted ]their con
dition abundant aid would haye been
provided long since. But not until
yesterday was their condition known
to anyone here. *
The dead babe was taken away and
buried yesterday afternoon, while
kind ladies will doubtless see that the
sick and stricken mother has the at
tention she requires.

After Sickness
Take Vinol —Our Great
Strength Creator.
IT GIVES ONE A SPLENDID
APPETITE.
AND QUICKLY REBUILDS
THE SYSTEM.
We Will Refund the Price of
Vinol if It Fails.
""
The worst part of sickness, frequent
ly, is getting over it.
The patient's strength is depleted,
his system is generally demoralized,
relapses are continually feared, and
naturally.
The one thing to aid recovery is to
give the patient that which will enable
him to get strong, and at the same time
give strength direct to the different
organs of the body.
Nothing will do this like Vinol.
It acts directly on the stomach, cre
ates a healthy appetite, and enables
the digestive organs to obtain the nec
essary elements to increase the weight
of the and to make new healthy
flesh and muscle tissue and pure, rich,
red blood.
The following is a letter showing
where Vinol was taken and did good
after a case of sickness. It reads as
follows:
“I wish to certify to the very great
benefit which has been derived from
the use of Vinol in my family. My
wife was very sick with the grippe and
afterward was wholly run down. One
bottle of Vinol places her on her feet
in better condition than she had been
before id six months. I heartily rec
ommend and endorse it.”—Henry F.
Stubtevant, 81 Huntington St., Brock
ton, Mass.
Everything that is in Vinol is
plainly printed on the label of
each package.
We know Vinol is a splendid
preparation, and in many cases
we have been able to see for our
selves the wonderful results i,t
brings about.
Remember that we guarantee
Vinol and refund the purchase
money if you are not satisfied.
