PLENTY FOR THE DINNER HERE I
Turkeys, ‘Crans” and Celery Very
Plentiful.
Amerieus will not go turkey less when
the dinner bell rings on Tuesday, as <
the big birds are at the command of j i
the man who has the price. Good fat s
turkey hens are to be had at 75c to §l, s
according to size, while the patriarchal «
gobbler brings a dime per pound as he
struts. While Amerieus epicures S
chewed up hundreds of turks at the ( <
Thanksgiving feast a month ago there j i
w ill be plenty for Christmas. The local I
grocers are well stocked also on crau- 1
berries, celery and other eliewables, i
while carloads of oranges, apples,
grapes and other fruits are at the dis
posal of the man who hungers and fain
w r ould inflate his vest to a bass drum
tension.
Public Speaker Interrupted.

rupted by people coughing. This would
not happen if Foley's Honey and Tar
were taken, as it cures coughs and
colds andprevents pneumoniaand con
sumption. The genuine contains no
opiates and is in a yellow' package. F.

THE PAWNBROKERS ARE COMING
Irish Comedy in Plenty at Theatre
Wednesday Night.
An entertainment complete with
originalty and headed by comedians
who are famous as originators, is what
farce comedy lovers are promised next
Wednesday night, 26th, when the farce
comedy star triumvirate, Murphy and
and Murphy, and Trumbell w r ill ap
pear at the opera house with their fam
ous comedy “The Irish Pawnbrokers,”
which is promised funnier than any
thing they have ever attempted. This
is 'a bold assertion, but their success
this season justifies the claim.
Notice To Our Customers.
We are pleased to announce that
Foley’s Honey and Tar for coughs,
colds and lung troubles is not affected
by the National Pure Food and Drug
law as it contains no opiates or other
harmful drugs, and w'e recommend it

SERIOUS SMASHUP IS AVERTED
Central Train Had Close Call in
Accident.
Central Railway train No. 7, from
Macon, due in Amerieus at 10:40 Wed
nesday night, did not arrive here until
nearly 4 o’clock yesterday morning.
The delay of many hours was caused
by an accident to the engine three miles
out ot Montezuma, which was of such
nature that the entire train might have
been wrecked. There were several
Amerieus people aboard, and uneasi
ness prevailed here until the passengers
were reported safe.
IT IS SERIOUS.
Some Amerieus People Fail to Realize
the Sedousnes*.
The constant aching of a bad back,
The weariness, the tired feeling,
The pains and aches of kidney ills,
Are serious—if neglected.
Dangerous urinary troubles follow'.
•An Amerieus citizen shows you how
to avoid them.
J. B. Edwards, farmer, living just
outside the corporation limits, says:
“My back troubled me for years. Some
times it was so w'eak that I w'as unable
to stand uj> straight. There W'as a con
stant dull pain that often awoke me at
night and the secretions were out of
order, being sluggish, scant and thick.
I had tried many different kinds of
medicine w'hen I first got Doan’s Kid
ney Pills at J. G. Dodson’s drug store.
They did just w hat is claimed for them
in my case, and I am glad to recom
mend them to others. The pains have
left me, my back is stronger and as I
am resting well at night my general
health is much better. The secretions
have lost that gummy appearance and
are more regular. I am more than
pleased w'ith this result.”
For sale by all dealers. Price 50
cents. Foster-Milburn Co., Buffalo,
