Central Baptist Church.
Rev. George F. Brown, Pastor.
The special meetings with Rev. J. E. ;
.ammons doing the preaching will con- ;
tinue through another week. God’s i
word is being preached in power and I
many hearts are being blessed. Surely
it is not necessary to say more than
this.
The hours of meeting today are 11
.m. and 7:30 p. m. Through the week
the day service will be at 3:30 p. m. ’
The pastor urges that the members let I
nothing keep them away from these j
meetings.
Let us be much in prayer that God’s !
blessings may be even more and more ,
manifest. A praying church is a con
quering church, but a non-praying
church is defeated before the battle
begins.
We extend a most cordial invitation
t; th£ public to tatend these meetings.
A welcome to all.

MEN’S DAY AT FIRST
METHODIST CHURCH TODAY
The men of the First Methodist
church are ruged again to attend the
services today. All men who are not
affiliated with any church are invit
ed to be present.
This service is not for men exclus
ively, however. Women and children
are invited also. In fact, we would
like to see a friendly rivalry between
the men and Liie women for the larg
est number of attendants.

1. AV. AV. LABOR AGITATORS
ANNISTON, Ala., Oct. 13.—Evidence
that members of the I. W. W. are at
work in Anniston and adjacent towns
are seen by officials in the efforts that
are being made to get skilled labor
ers to leave Camp McClelland. One
attempt to take a train load of car
penters from the camp to Lake
Charles, La., was frustrated by the
prompt action of officers of the quar
termaster’s department earlier in the
week. Officers found further evidence
I against the agitators, and ran them
out of the camp.
Both civil and military officers are
working on the matter, and it is un
derstood that federal secret service
men have also taken a hand in it.
The officers recall that an attempt
was made to stampede the men short
ly after work started at the camp
This attempt was checked by Major
Charles L. Dulin, constructing quar
termaster, who headed off about 500
men at the union station by appeal- ■
ing to their patriotism.
The agitators seem to be plentiful-'
ly supplied with money.
