Resolutions On Death
Os Miss Irene Mathews
The Junior Woman’s Missionary
Society of Central Baptist church
has written the following resolutions j
on the death of one of the beloved i
members of this society:
“Whereas, the spirit of Miss Irene i
Mathews took its departure from
among us in the early morning hours ,
of November 20, therefore, be it
“Resolved: First, that in the going i
of this beloved sister pur society has
sustained a distinct loss, and her i
family and friends a sore bereave
ment. And while she had been a
member less than a year, and not
able to attend regularly never the i
less, she was always a faithful and !
cheerful contributor to the work sos- ’
tered bv our organization.
Resolved: Second, that while we
sorrow, we know she hat gone to
God, for before going she express
herself as being resigned to the
Lord’s will, and had no fear for she j
was conscious of His presence, feel-I
ing that whatever came all would be j
well. As sh'e was conscious of the i
Holy Spirit, may the family also;
have this same Divine Comforter to j
sustain them in this seemingly un-j
timely separation. May they sorrow
not as those that have no hope, but i
await with confidence the coming of
that glad day when families now j
broken and scattered shall be reunit
ed around the throne of God and the
Lamb.
“Resolved: Third, that we express '
our deepest sympathy for the belov- j
ed brothers and sisters and that a:
copy of these resolutions be sent toj
them, and also that they be placed i
upon the minutes of the Junior Worn
an’s Missionary Society of the Cen
tral Baptist Church.

__ . w
A Phonograph of Higher Quality
At Moderate Cost
•
TO the customary merry-making of the Holiday Season
will be added this year a new depth of joy and happiness.
The feasting should be, and will be tempered, however, by the
thought of the millions whom we must help to feed. But there
is one form our celebrating can take, in which’unlimited indul
gence does not mean excess, but benefit —and that is Music.
> There is no need for you or yours to be without music this ‘
Christmas. The Aeolian-Vocalion stands at your service—
< its thousands of beautiful voices and instruments ready to
flood your home with harmony. 'T Os
The Vocahon is a phonograph possessing greater natural
ncss, greater clearness and greater resonance of tone. It attains
; this superiority because its makers have had the experience
of other phonograph makers to profit by, plus their own un
equalled facilities for the manufacture of musical instruments.
The Aeolian Company is never satisfied with mediocrity— .
and every part of the Aeohan-Vocalion is a definite improve- || v
I ment upon the phonograph parts that existed four years ago ■ ■ *
