cation were delightfully entertained
Friday afternoon by Miss Mary God
wih, herself a popular member of j
the college set, at her home on
Church street.
The home was artistically deco/-
atdd with shasta daisies, zinnias and
gahardia used in wall pockets, bas-
adn silver vases.
Hilda Johnson assisted the
hostess in serving sandwiches and
punch to the guests who were Miss

The bachelors and members of the
Kiwanis club who have no children
were honor guests at a set-back party
given Thursday evening by Mr. and
Mrs. George O. Marshall at their
home on South Lee street.
Quantities of daisies and gladioli
were used effectively in the room ■
where the set-back tables were
grouped.

were met at the door by the hostess
and directed to the sun parlor where
punch was served by ?•!< -os Ann
Hoffman and Myra Sims. An at
tractive feature of the occasion was
the advice written by eaeh guest to
the bride concerning the management

by Miss Mary Wilson, sang “Sunrise
And You.” ,
The gifts were delivered in a
Mothe'S basket to the bride by little
Misses Louisa Stephens,of Forsyth,
and Little, of Chattanooga, Tenn.
The loaded basket almost made one
visualize the face of a servant; com
plaining oyer the heavy wash, tor the
stream of towels, handkerchiefs-, hose,
doilies, tables cloths, bed spreads and
numerous other articles did seem
never-ending.
Later in the afternoon a dainty
salad course was served. Assisting
the hostess were Miss Cribel Fergu
son and Mrs. Reid. The guest list

AT PRETTY PARTY.
The country home of Mrs. W. H.
Emmet was the scene of an enjoy
able affair Friday night when Mrs.
Emmet entertained several friends.
Shasta daisies and miniature sun
flowers adorned the rooms where the
tables were placed for set-back.
A buffet supper was served the
guests before the game by the host
ess assisted by Mrs. Roy Emmet.
Punch was served during the in
teresting game.

ENTERTAINED.
Miss Louise Marshall and Miss
Georgia Bena Dodson were joint
hostesses Thursday night at the home
I of Miss Dodson to the members of
the Lee Street Set-Back club and a
few invited guests.
Gladioli and other summer blos
soms were used in profusion in the
rooms open to the guests.
Miss Emmae Borum won the ladies
prize, a dainty fan, and Walter Page
was the winnner of the gentleman’s
prize, a hand-made handkerchief.
At the conclusion of the game a
salad course with punch was served
the guests by the hostesses assisted
by Mrs. A. O. B. Sparks, of Macon.
