They appear to be so full of chills
that they cau scarcely keep still.

will make fire bales ol cotton and
plenty of corn, potatoes, etc. They

prove an example for our colored
people.

Dawson. Oa., Sept. 15 The
supper given last Friday night by
the ladies for the benefit of our
military company, was a grand
numerical and financial success.
There were between 200 and 300

of “the good things of this lifo’’ to
feed half as many more. The net
proceeds were $105 00. The finest
cake brought $15.50, and was
voted to Miss Doodc Kendrick,
who received 07 votes; Miss Mary
Speight, Baldwin receiving 65

between 2,000 and 3,000 bushels
of corn, and an abundance of fod

He dees business on a cash bar.is,
and invests Ids profits in lands,
which arc increasing in value at
the rtrto of 35 per cent, per annum.
There was a murder committed
in Randolph county last Saturday

provocation. Liquor was at the
bottom of it, as usual. I under-

two more can be accommodated.
