Consumption t’iir»blf.
It cannot be too often impressed
•n every one that the much dreaded
consumption (which is only lung
scrofula) is curable, if attended to at
•nee, and that the primary symp
toms, so often mistaken ns signs of
diseased lungs, are only symptoms
of an unhealthy liver. To this organ
the system is Indebted for pure blood
and to pure blood the lungs are in
debted no less than to pure for
healthy action. If the former is
polluted, w© have the hacking
cough, the hecteo Hush, nightsweats
and a whole train of symptoms re
sembling consumption. House the
liver to healthy action by the use of
Dr. Pierce’s Golden Medical Dis
covery, take healthy exercise, live
In the open tiir, and till symptoms
of consumption will disappear. For
weak lungs, spitting of blood, short
ness of breath, chronic nasal eatarrii
and bronchitis, asthma, severe
coughs and kindred affections, it is
a most wonderful remedy. The
“Discovery” is guaranteed to cure
in all eases of diseases for which it
la recommended, or money paid for
It will be promptly refunded.
The New York Herald proposes that
congress shall appropriate money
for Confederate soldiers' homes. It
says: "In many Southern States
the people by their legislatures, are
aupportlng homes for disabled Con
federate soldiers. That Is right and
as it ought to be. But why would
it not he a kindly and gracious act
for Congress when It reassembles,
to aopropriate money for the con
struction ami maintenance of sev
eral soldiers’ homes in tr.e South
ern States? Why would not Presi
dent Harrison do well to recom
mend tills to Congress ?” It adopts
the Morning News’ idea that the
South lias a claim for Northern aid
for such objects, by remarking that
“tlie Southern people pay their
aliarc of the taxes out of which
Northern pensions and Northern
soldiers’ homes arc provided.” Its
suggestion is likely to causeconsid
erable comment. If an attempt
should he made by congress to ap
propriate money for the purpose
named, however, about the only re
suit would probably be a heated
sectional debate.
From an Atlanta Drummer.
Mr. A. K. Hawkes, Atlanta, Ga.:
Dear Sir—You doubtless remem
ber me getting a glass of you nearly
three weeks ago. Iliad then given
up all hopes of ever being able to
read again. Tlio last three weeks
however, with the use of your
glasses, ray eyes have been wonder
fully benefitted, and I have been
enabled to do a great deal of read
ing, tlie first I had doue in two
years, and moreover I have great
hopes of their entire recovery in a
few years. I cannot too highly rec
ommend your glass to my friends
Yours, respectfully,
E. C. Callaway.

It is said that in the Supreme
Court reports of Georgia will be
found the brief of evidence of a
witness who testifies that a Talbot
county farmer was so good at fig
ures that the witness built a gin
house for him according to his plan
and specifications, and so close was
the calculation that when tlie job
was finished tlie witness took all
tlie nails left home in ono hand,
wlille he carried the other surplus
material home on the arm at ono
turn.
A Woman'll Discovery..
“Another wonderful discovery
has been made and that by a lady
in thlseounty. Disease fastened Us
clutches upon her and for seven
years sho withstood its severest
tests, but her vital organs were un'
dermined and death seemed immi
nent. For three months she coughed
incessantly and could not sleep.
She bought of us a bottle of Dr.
King’s New Discovery for Con
sumption and was so much relieved
OB taking first dose that she slept
fcU night and witli one bottle has
been miraeuously cured. Her name
Es Mrs. Luther Lutz.” Thus write

Yellowstone Kit, the well known
medicine man, who has made ex
tensive investments in rent estate
in Brunswick, purchased Wednes
day $7 ,000 worth of city lots. This
is his second investment in the last
six months. Kit’s last purchases
amounted to $0,000, and his faith in
tbevaluoof Brunswick dirt will,
no doubt, be the catiso of his pur
chasing more at an early date.
The Verdict Unanimous.
W. D. Suit, Druggist, Bippus,
bid., testifies: "lean recommend
Electric Bitters as the very best
remedy. Every bottle sold has
e ven rollef In every ease. One man
ok six bottles, and was cured of
Rheumatism of ten years standing.”
Abraham Hare, druggist, ilellville,
Ohio, affirms: “The best selling
medicine I have ever handled in
S T 20 years’ experience, is Electric
Iters.” Thousands of others have
added their testimony, so that tlie
verdict is unanimous that Electric
Bitters do cure all diseases of the
Liver, Kidneys or Blood. Only a
