This Store Preaches Economy.
There is but one true economy in money spending.
This store continually preaches it. This economy consists
in buying good reliable merchandise and In paying for that
merchandise the lowest legitimate price for which it can be
sold. Every section of this store teems with object lessons
in money saving. Not to test the truth of all this is to be
careless of your own best interest.

Baskets of Rosebuds Are Trundled
Over Town.
One of the prettiest and most novel
spectacles presented in Americns in a
long while-was that yesterday after
noon when “the babies on onr block”
and other blocks, went awheel in a
bunch, forming a glittering pageant
calculated to strike joy to the heart
paternal.
And almost any other heart would
have gone over to that dazzling array
of infantile wealth.
For such a crop of babies has not
been harvested here since that last
fateful baby show, when a galaxy of
these holies and beam of the future
went in as prize winners.
The idea was happily eonceived and
very sncceesfally executed. Thirty-five
daintily deoorated baby carts, three of
them double deckers holding tains,
were parked near the monument, and
at a given signal'and amid the plaudits
of onlookers the parade moved off.
M*ny of the matrimonial fruit baskets
were real works of art m their floral
and be-nbboned decorations, and net
tho most unbiased old bachelor conld
have picked the winner.
Even had he done so thirty-fonr oth
er sable nnrses would have wreaked
vengeance upon him.
Tho crow of these barges of Cupid
enjoyed the novelty of the onting and
the sensation they were creating, and
the long line, extending the distance
of a block, oronsed more gennine in
terest than would a circus pageant,
The streets were cleared for the kids.
The little girl babies were distin
guishable by their inborn ability to
make goo goo eyes. Tho male contin
gent stack resolutely to the bottle.
As the chariots bearing these juve
nile knights and ladies fair moved
along orowds of shoppers bestowed ad,
miring glances and the baobelor olo
ment secretly resolved to risk fate one
time more. Just sueh a bunch of bans
a feast of mixed pickles, was never
seen before.
And no other city than Americas
could have gotten up a like display
upon short notice.
