Over $90,000 Has So Far Been Sub
scribed for the Purpose.
Atlanta, March IS.—The movement
to erect a great Atlanta Tabernacle
received a magnificent Indorsement at
the bands of Atlanla citizens Sunday
morning, when members of Dr. I.en
Ci. Broughton's church subscribed the
sum of $(18,000 for flits purpose
whole donations already received from
people outside the church and outside
the city will push the total between
$90,000 and $100,000, one of the most
remarkable achievements In the reli
gious history In the city or In the
south.
Dr. Broughton did not expect to get
more than $50,000 on the day of the
opening of subscriptions, and would
have been heartily satisfied with that
The money subscribed assures ithe
