At Calvary Episcopal church Sunday
morning the services will be commemo
rative of the three hundredth anni
versary of the first communion by the
colonists in Americus, according to the
rites of the English church.
The first celebration of the Holy
Communion at Jamestown was on the
third Sunday after Trinity, 1607.
This Celebration at Jamestown In
1607 may be said to mark the planting
of English Christianity In America and
marked the birth of a nation.
I For this reason the services for today
commemorative of the three hundredth
anniversary will be peculiarly im
pressive. There will be a celebration
of the Holy Communion at tbo II
o'clock morning service.

this morning at St. Mary's church.
Rev. O. P. Gilbert will occupy hie
pulpit at First Baptist as usual, both
morning and evening.
Rev. J. P. Wardlaw hai returned to
Americus from Oxford, and willoccnpy
his pulpit at both services.
At Furlow Lawn Raptist Rev. Robert
L. Bivins will preach this morning
upon “The Christian Faith”. At the
evening service his topic will bo “Elo
quence of the Cross.”
At the Church of the Rcdoomer, the
pastor will preach this morning at 11
o’clock on “The Recompense of the
Reward," and at eight this ovoning on
“How to Study the Bible.”
