Aged Veteran Has Passed
Away.
There is an "Amerlcus end” to the
recent Atlanta bank suspension where
in the Neal Bank closed its doors.
Two Amerlcus citizens carried large
deposits In the crippled bank, one
having between $4,000 and $5,000 on
deposit there, while .another is said
to haye $3,300 tied up thusly. The
hank’s suspension caused considerable
surprise as it is regarded one ot the
strongest In the state. The trouble,
it Is said, is'due largely to loans upon
real estate which, while doubtless
good, could not be realized upon im
mediately. It Is hoped that depositors
will, eventually, be paid In full. One
ot the Amerlcus men having money
there had just purchased a farm here
as an Investment, and was going to
use his bank deposit next Thursday
wherewith to pay for It, the Irony of
fate. '

desk—riding on jolting wagons
