? MR. WILLIAM T. M'MATH
DIED ON SATURDAY
MAY LEAD TO CANCER
There La no difference, at first, in the appearance of a cancerous and a
common ulcer, and for this reason every sore that is obstinate or slow in
healing should excite suspicion, for the sore is nothing more than the exter-
nal evidence of a polluted blood, and if allowed to remain may degenerate
into Cancer. Efforts to heal the ulcer by means of salves, plasters and other
external remedies always result in failure, because such treatment can have
no possible effect on the blood, where the deadly germs and morbid “alter
farmland are carried through the circulation to the place. No sore; or ulcer
can exist without a predisposing internal cause, and the open, discharging
nicer or festering old sore will continue to eat deeper into the surrounding
flesh as long as a polluted, germ-infected circulationdischargesitsmpur.
ities into it. S. S. S. goes to the fountain-head of the trouble, and drives
out the germ-producing.poisons ^and^morbid^^mpura^es^wh^ch_kMp^the
goes to the diseased place the healing begins,
all discharge ceases, the inflammation grad
ually leaves, new tissue and healthy flesh
are formed, and soon the sore is perma-
- - nently cured. S. S. S. is made entirely of
PURELY VEGETABLE roots and herbs of a healing, cleansing
nature, and unlike mineral medicines,
which often do great damage to the delicate parts of the system, S. S. S.
tones up every part of the body. Book on Sores and Ulcers and any medical

It is reported from Montgomery that
Miss Nona Morgan, of Leesburg, and
B. W. Adkins, who was shot by a
brother of Miss Morgan last Christ
mas eve at Leesburg as a result of
family objections to the match, have
been married In the Alabama capi
tal.
The story of the shooting was told
In the Tlmes-Recorder following the
afTair. Adkins, who was an employe
of the Lee County Journal, planned to
elope with Miss Morgan on Christmas
eve, having .-'btalned a marriage li
cense In Amerlcu3. When he drove
up to the Morgan home in a buggy he
was greeted by a charge of buckshot,
which struck him in the face. He
fired one shot from a rifle, but failed
to land. He then drove swiftly to
wards the center of the town, pursued
by one of the male members of the
family. Friends intervened and no
further shots were fired.
The wound was not as serious as
at first though, and Adkins gradually
recovered. Miss Morgan left on a
visit to friends in Montgomery some
weeks since. Adkins followed a few
days ago and their marriage has now
been reported back to friends.

A weak Stomach means weak Stom
ach nerves, always. And this Is also
true of the heart and kidneys. It’s a
pity that sick ones continue to drug
the Stomach or stimulate the Heart
and Kidneys. The weak nerves, not
the organs themselves, need this help.
This explains why Dr. Shoop’s Re
storative has and is promptly helping
so many sick ones. It goes direct to
the cause of these diseases. Test this
vital truth and see.
