rpiIE new Rambler is for the particular
X -motorist who admires dignified
comfort in every appointment without
extravagance in cost. Its distinction as
a car of quality is due to the selection,
indifferent to cost, of the materials used,
and the finished skill applied in the mak
ing. Coupled with this is an efficiency
assured only by such features as the OfTset
crank-shaft. Straight-line drive, Spare

marriage records of Georgia straight,

have been during the paat hundred

Under the existing law—one might
•Imost say lack of law-the record,
of marriage have been very Inadequate
and entirely supernclal in their nature.
Any one could go to the ordinary and
take out a marriage license. The
names might be flotltious—such things
have been known—and at this heat the
license conveyed little Information, be
ing merely a statement that any per
son authorized by Jaw could marry
the parties whose names were men
tioned In the license. Inasmuch as I;
is not an uncommon thing for two or
more persons In a community to have
the same name, it Is not surprising
that in after years It Mas been diffi
cult to locate exactly who the parties
married were. In one bigamy suit It
was Impossible to obtain a conviction
because It was found that there were
several parties of the same name In
the county, and that marriage licenses
bad been lasued to more than one of
them in a abort apace of time.

thla year of phenomenal yield of tbe
fruit In tbe orchards round about
Americus.
It was a tree of the Carmen variety
that gave this enormous yield and It
was In the small orchard of Mr. C.
L. Ansley.
Like all of the other orchards
around Americus, Mr. Ansley's tress
have been burdened with peaches al
most to the breaking down point this
seaion. The yield has been simply as
tounding. Off of two and a bait acres,
on whlchl there were bearing Carmen
treei to the number of about 9ne hun
dred and fifty, there have been de
livered to the cannery nine.hundred
baskets, equivalent to nearly five hun
dred bushels. , Tbe average yield has
been over thkree bushels to the tree!
Mr Roblneon, tbe manager of Mr.
Ansley'a farm, would not be surprised
If even a greater average record was
established when some other varieties
of peaches are picked.
It will doubtless be many a year be
fore such a crop as this is seen again.
It unquestionably exceeds anything
expected, or anything ever known be
fore.
