UNCLE SAID’S NEW
CHECK ON BORROWERS.
Examiners to Keep list of
Them in All Towns.
(Special to Tlmes-Recorder.)
Washington, D. C„ Oct. 26.—A ten*
tive system of collecting credit
formation for the benefit of *08110001
bank examiners, with the compilation
and cheeking up of the commitment of
largo local and extended borrowers,
has been formulated by a committee of
the examiners who have been meetlug
at the Treasury Department. Every
examines hereafter will keep for his
own use a complete file of alf large
and extended borrowers In his district,
from which lists will be sent to the
Treasury Department for summariz
ing.
The machinery available to Comp
troller of the Currency Murray will be
put to work to gather such credit
formation as can be obtained from
national banks and from State banks
and trust companies situated In states
where there is already cooperation* be
tween the Federal and slate banking
officials, as in New York. The ex
aminers will not divulge the name of
the bank where a line of Credit la
found of an extended borrower, their
special reports giving the total only
pf the loans listed. These lists are
to be entirely confidential.
It is not contemplated that a com
prehensive plan, which will guarantee
the assembling of complete credit In
formation covering commitments n
all the banks in the United 8tates,
shall be practical at this time, nor is
the personal or intimate relationship
between the banka and the borrowe's
to be Interfered with. It Is expected,
however, that thp knowledge that a
hundred or more men are keeping a
constant check on the borrowings will
make it extremely razardous for the
dishonest individual,'Arm. or corpora
tion to get money from the nations!
banks.

The Famous
Is the Lamp of Real Beauty
because it gives the best light of all
lamps. The Rayo gives a white, soft,
mellow, diffused light-easy on the
eye because it cannot flicker. You
can use your eyes as long as you wish
under the Rayo light without strain.
The Rayo Lamp is low-priced, and
even though you pay $5, $10 or $20 for
other lamps, you may get more expensive
decorations but you cannot get a better
light than the low-priced Rayo gives. A
strong, durable shade-holder holds' the
shade on firm and true. This season’s
new burner adds strength and appearance.
