Atlanta, Ga., Oct. 24.—One of the
most far-reaching subjects which the
State Railroad Commission has ever
taken under consideration, and Into
which It has made only preliminary
investigation so far, la that which in

Commissioner Returns From Tonr of
Inspection Over the Stnto.
(Atlanta Georgian.)
Commissioner of Agriculture Hudson
was at the capitol Monday morning,
after a week’s trip over the state, in
specting the cotton crop. >
According to the best reports and
conditions in the field, Mr. Hudson
estimates that the crop is short about
33 1-3 per cent. He saysr
■The South Georgia crop is probably
showing tho most normal average of
any section of the state. There Is no
doubt that the total crop will be
one-third short. The season would
have undoubtedly shown a larger de
crease, had it not been for the ex
