ATLANTA. Ga., Feb. 23 —While the
charges on which Victor E. Innes an:l
Mrs. Innes are to be extradited from
Texas to Georgia are merely larceny
after trust, the main interest behind
the case I* whether or not it will be
possible after they are brought here
for trial to produce any evidence
connect them with the disappearance
and alleged murder of the two Nelms
girls, Eloise Nelms Dennis and Bea
trice Nelms.
The making away with the Nelms
girls is the real milk In the cocoanut,
and were It not for this feature, the
cf'ort would probably have never
been made which is now resulting In
the bringing of the pair to Georgia foe
trial.
Solicitor General Hugh Dorsey be
hove* that It will take about forty
more days to complete the legal steps
incident to extraditing the fugitives,
and he expects to have Innes and Ms
wife in the Fulton county tower some
where early in April.
It is pointed out that if the Innoc
1-air ran be convicted on some of the
ten larceny after trust counts, they
can be sentenced for a term of years,
during which it seems reasonably cer
tain that something will turn up to
show what really happened to the
Nelms girls.
*r Innes and his wife are convicted
of larceny now and at a later dat->
sufflclrm evidence Is found to justify
an Indictment for murder, they could
be arrested at the prison door imme
diately after the serving of the larceny
sentence, provided, of course, they are
brought here and convicted.
PANAMA, Feb. 23.—Efforts are be
ing made by merchants of Panama and
Colon to interest tlie governments of
the United States and the Republic of
Panama in establishing bonded ware
houses in the canal terminal cities.
The subject has been discussed at re
cent meetings of the Panama Chamber
of Commerce and it is believed that an
active campaign to further the project
will soon be started.
The National Assembly of Panama
has already passed the necessary leg-
hlation authorizing the construction of
\ arehouses. It is necessary that the
Congress of the United 8tates also
pass such a measure.
The merchants point out that with
the opening of the permanent channel
in the canal the business opportunities
In Central and South America will be
vastly increased and that in conse
quence storage facilities on tbe Isth
mus wil) be greatly needed.

LONDON, Feb. 22 — Nitre cake. a
