get our mail off Friday via Buena Vista,
we could get it at Tazwell, Schley, Mur
rays Cross Roads, and Poindexter, all

The crop of corn is the best that wo
have had for several years, I know of a
20 acre held that will a verage 15 bushels
to the acre and Mr. John Morisoi] SUVA
that when this country was hist being
settled up the entire lot of land was
bought for one galon of corn Whisky
and soon afterwards was sold for a yoke
of small oxene, there is five acres-that
made one bale of cotton to the acre. I
know of seviral farmers over here that
have made 20 bushels to the acre this
year and yet this district is known by
tlie name of Nubbin Hili.
