The lynching of a negro in
Michjgan the other day proves
that the people of the North will
adopt as harsh measures as will
the citizens of the South to pro¬
tect their wives and their daugh¬

stoop so knv as to try to make po¬

The latest recipe for killing
moles is given as; follows; “Go
into your garden early in the morn¬

shower, when then traces can be
best seen, take a spade and un¬
earth the slick Uttle rascak then
catch him by the back of the neck
and put two grains of strychnine
down his throat. If this doesn’t
have the desired effect, cut off his
rooter.”
Two negroes who had raped
two young ladies in Fannin coun¬

and caught yesterday by relatives of
the ladies. One of the negroes
was caught at Talking Rock and
the other near the “V” a mile or
two above this place. - We oniv
heard-of the matter just before go-
ing to press and didn’t have time
to learn much about it. A good
rope can be bought for about
25 cents.

Skin Diseases
Are caused by a depraved condition of tjio
blood. External treatment only drives the
eruptions to another, 'effective and often more vital,
part. . The most remedy Is Ayer’s
Sarsaparilla, which thoroughly. eradicate;!
all poison from the system.
“ Onu of my cldldren had a large sore break

“ I certify that, for several years, I was trou¬
bled with dry salt-rheum on the back of my
neck. After using two bottles of Ayer’s Bursa*
parllia it was completely cured.”—Louisa Knaut,
Alahono Jlay, Nova Scotia.
*• I consider there is no remedy that gives so
good satisfaction ns Ayer’s Sarsaparilla. I use
it in my practice whenever I need an alterative.
In fact, all your remedies are first-class.”- Dr,
