Not seeing any news from our
little place 1 thought 1 would
write a few items.
First I will say we are
some cold weather in this com¬
munity and as the wind comes
from the west w* think if may
reach Jasper.
On last Sunday Mr. Will Dun¬
can was in search of a preacher to
attend to some matrimonial busi¬
ness. Brother Little was found
and he -was informed >■ that Mr.
Duncan and Miss Lila Wheeler
was wanting to marry. Soon a
party consitmg of Misses Sal lie
Stegall, Ola Patterson, Lula
Wheeler, and Messrs Horae Long,
Arthur Sullivan and Henry Hut-
ley. The marrirgo took place at
the residence of J. M. Eaton.
Every body seemed to enjoy the
evening. Mr. Duncan has just
returned from Cuba where he has
been with the U. S. Army. Will
is a nice boy and we wish him a
long and prosperous life. Miss
Lila is one of Marble Hill’s chois
est young ladies and is a strong
Sunday School advocate, also the
organist for the Methodist Sunday
School.
We once more have a good
school under the care of Miss
Emma Ellis, of Canton. Miss
Ellis is a good teacher and all are
pleased with her work.
M. H. MoCloor, the master
machanic of the Southern Marble

is one of the best in the county, we
have over 100 on roll and they are
all prompt in at tendance* Owing

three weeks the attendance has
been off some, but when the mea¬
sles and winter has been driven
away by nice sunny weather then
we can say we have tho best S. S.
in tho county.
Mrs. J. M. Disharoon has re¬
turned home after several days of
pleasure among her old friends in
Dawsonville.
R. A. Kelley is now in Duck
town working.
