Murder In Duval County.
Jacksonville, Fla.,Oot. 9.—Another
murder has been committed in Duval
oouuty. Tho tragedy took place at Skin
ner’s turpentine tho camp, Pablo 6 miles south of
this city, oti brauoh of the
East Coast railway. The murdered man
is Joe Austin, and the man who did the
killing is namod Tom Smith. Both
men were negroes, and were employes
of the camp.

Tampa Has $200,000 Fire.
Tampa, Fla., Oct. 5.—Twenty build
ings iti the heart of West Tampa were
burned yesterday, with a property loss
of $300,000. The fire wae discovered in
the large cigar factory of O’Halloran A
Co., and. as the water supply in West
Tampa was inadequate, the department
from Tampa could not check the flames.
The tiro spread from the factory iu both
directions, aud then crossed the street,
consuming everything in its wake until
it practically burned Itself out. It is

charge of murder committed at Holly

a negro, has been arrested in this city,
