Mary Ruth Weaver
Mrs. Mary Ruth Weaver, age
66, of Ellijay died Sunday Janu
ary 3, 2016.
Mrs. Weaver was bom Sep
tember 17, 1949 in Pickens
County the daughter of the late
Glanton “Bud” and Ruth Gibson
Mullins. She was a homemaker
and member of the County Line
Baptist Chinch. Her parents, hus
band Reggie Weaver and broth
ers Jimmy and John Mullins
preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daugh
ters and son-in-law, Abby
Weaver of Ellijay and Andrea
and Tommy Gartrell of Jasper;
mother-in-law, Evelyn Knight,
Ellijay; grandson, Eric Baker;
granddaughter, Cora Gartrell and
Rece Gartrell; brother, Bill
Mullins of Jasper also survive.
Funeral services ware sched
uled for Wednesday, January 6th
at 2 p.m. from the County Line
Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry
Banks, Rev. Eddie Kerr and Rev.
Jess Posey officiating. Pallbear
ers are Eric Baker, William
Mullins, Alan Mullins, Danny
Prather and Don Boggus. Inter
ment followed in the church
cemetery.

William David "Lewy"
Lewallen lost his battle with can
cer on December 30, 2015, the
only battle he ever lost. He was a
fighter until the end. He was a
kind-hearted man, always full of
good intentions, who loved his
family and his biker family
dearly.
He is survived by his mother,
Doris Beard of Canton; grandfa
ther, Leroy Childers of Holly
Springs; sister, Denise "Jayde"
Tatum of Jasper; daughters, Jes
sica Grant and Kaylee King of
Woodstock and their families,
Jesse and Michael Lewallen of
Canton and two grandsons and
one granddaughter.
The memorial service was
held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January
2,2016.
He is greatly missed by all his
friends, near and far. "Don't fear
dying, fear not living. Let's
Ride."

89, of Ball Ground passed away

Pruitt Healthcare in Jasper.
Sarah was bom May 2, 1926 to
Grady and Ada Gayton in Daw
son County.
Sarah is survived by her hus
band of 71 years. Junior Eu
banks; daughters and
sons-in-law, Barbara and Charles
Holbert of Talking Rock, Shirley
and Mark Chadwick of Ball
Ground; grandchildren, Charlie
and Lori Holbert, Angela and
Chad Presley, and Shane Chad
wick; great-grandchildren, John
Holbert, Josh Holbert, Ella Hol
bert, Dalton Presley, Allie Pres
ley, Shae Chadwick, and Sy
Chadwick; brothers, Grady Gay-
ton of Jasper, and T. J. and Judy
Keener of Nelson. Several other
relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at
2 p.m., Thursday, December 31,
2015 at Bethesda Baptist Church
with Reverend Jimmy Chester
and Reverend Grant Wade offici
ating. Interment followed in
Bethesda Baptist Church Ceme
tery. Pallbearers were Charlie
Holbert, Shane Chadwick, Sy
Chadwick, John Holbert, Josh
Holbert, Dalton Presley, Chad
Presley, and Brian Keener.

He is survived by his wife,

Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his son,

brother, Wilburn Prince of

two great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his wife
Lyla Prince, son Ricky Mills,
daughter Deborah Prince and
mother Ruby Prince.

Cherokee Sheriff offering Waleska seminar
on Civilian Response to Active Shooters
Due to the overwhelming
interest and request from the
public, the Cherokee Sheriff’s
Office will be hosting a series
of C.R.A.S.E. (Civilian Re
sponse to Active Shooter
Events) seminars. The first
seminar is scheduled for Sun
day, January 10th from 2-4
p.m. at the Falany Performing
Arts Center on the Reinhardt
University Campus in
Waleska, Georgia.
A second seminar is sched
uled in the southern part of
Cherokee County on Tuesday
January 12th from 6-8 p.m. at
the Etowah High School audi
torium in Woodstock.
Those attending this course
should gain insight on active
shooter events and how to
best prepare and react during
such an event. The seminar,
which will be taught by Chief
Deputy Joe Perkins, is open to
everyone including children
but parental guidance is
strongly recommended.
NOTICE: The Falany Per
forming Arts Center is located
at 7300 Reinhardt Circle
Waleska, Ga. and seats ap
proximately 300 people. The
Etowah High School audito
rium is located at 6565 Put
nam Ford Road in
Woodstock, Ga. and seats ap

Bradley.
She is survived by two
daughters and son-in-law, Helen
Pharr and Patsy and Tom Daniel;
four granddaughters and grand-
sons-in-law, Dana Daniel, Anna
and Mark Stevenson, Thelma
(Bay) and Bill Cagle, Donna and
John Mullins; six great-grand
children, Kerra Mullins, Kyler
Mullins, Konner Mullins, Katie
Cagle, Nathan Cagle, and Syd
ney Bames.

at Long Swamp Baptist Church,
11 a.m., Wednesday, January 6,
2016 with Reverend Harold
Cantrell, Reverend Edwin
Weaver, and Brother Jerry
Watkins officiating. Interment
will follow in the church ceme
tery.
