LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period Dec.
30, 2020-Jan. 5, 2021.
On Dec. 30, Dep. Ashley Johnson was contacted
by Family Medical Center about a dog bite. Stephen
Brehaut was taking care of a dog that belonged to his
late sister and the dog bit him. Animal control was
notified.
On Dec. 30, Dep. Bossie Davis was contacted twice
by emergency room personnel at Upson Regional
Medical Center regarding a 92-year-old male patient
who was being released to return to his McCollum
Road home but no one was there. Multiple attempts
were made to get someone to the home but no one
would comply. The ER personnel felt the man may be
being abandoned.
The man was a fall risk so someone needed to be
in the home with him. A niece was contacted and
volunteered to let them in the house but she would
not stay because the man was COVID positive. The
hospital eventually agreed to keep the man for the
night and look for alternatives at area nursing homes.
On Dec. 30, Dep. Davis was dispatched to a home
on High Falls Road where Chancey Daniel reported
two car batteries and two radiators had been stolen.
On Dec. 31, Dep. Davis and Dep. Anthony Red
ding were dispatched to Rock Springs Road where
reports came in of two vehicles racing down the road
and shots being fired at 2:30 a.m. One vehicle was
described as an SUV and the other as a sedan. Da
vis was on Chappell Mill Road when he spotted the
SUV in the ditch and a Nissan Altima stopped in the
middle of the road.
Both drivers were ordered to show their hands and
did so. The driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Dylan Cole
Whittemore, had a suspended license. He admitted
running the SUV into the ditch so he was cuffed. The
driver of the Altima, Gabriella Manahan, said Whitte
more had called her to the scene to help him.

Whittemore admitted there were two handguns
in the SUV that belonged to him. Redding spotted a
bag of marijuana and a gun under the SUV. Once it
was hauled out of the ditch, he retrieved both. The
handgun was a .40 caliber with no ammo left in it. In
the SUV, the deputies found two additional loaded
handguns with full clips and rounds in the chamber.
