LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports com
pleted by Lamar deputies during the period March
17-23, 2021.
On March 13, Dep. Barclay Banta met with a
woman at 616 Forsyth Street about a collision with a
deer on Van Buren Road that damaged a 2020 Chevro
let Equinox.
On March 17, Dep. Banta worked a dog complaint
at 105 Chappell Mill Road. Samuel Lewis reported his
dog had been attacked by two Great Pyrenees while
on his porch. Animal control was summoned and the
owner of the attacking dogs was warned.
On March 18, Sgt. Jerry Meadows worked a
disagreement between neighbors on Midway Road
involving a surveyor.
On March 18, Lt. Michael Newman assisted a
woman who had lost the title to her vehicle. The
woman was issued a case number for dealing with the
tag office.
On March 19, Dep. Hope Thompson met with a
woman who reported a Taurus .40 caliber handgun
was missing from the trunk of her car after it was
towed from the scene of an accident. The gun was
listed on GC1C as missing.
On March 19, Sgt. Bossie Davis assisted Dep.
Anthony Redding with a traffic stop on Hwy. 36 West
near McCollum Road. Davis questioned the passen
ger in a purple Infinity. The female appeared nervous
and kept checking with the driver for approval of her
answers to routine questions.
The passenger had no ID and gave her name as
Stephanie Mellinex which was run through Georgia
and South Carolina online records and came back per
son not found. After much give and take, the woman

Between Friday, March 19 and Thursday, March
25 the following were processed through the Lamar
County jail:
Chase Keelan Adams, 19, Griffin, possession of
schedule 1 controlled substance, possession of less
than an ounce of marijuana, possession and use of
drug related objects, speeding and possession of
firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to
commit felonies;
Abigayle Faith Arnold, 20, Milner, serving time;
Kai Matthew Bertoia, 25, Oglethorpe, failure to ap
pear;
Sabrina Ybonne Couch, 39, Forsyth, failure to ap
pear;
Ana Barbara Cox, 17, Griffin, speeding and driving
while unlicensed;
Ray Charlie Dyal, 29, Jackson, failure to appear;
Joshua Wade Fowler, 27, Barnesville, possession of
firearm by convicted felon and driving while license
suspended or revoked;
Brandon Treamine Furlow, 31, Barnesville, financial
transaction card theft, obstructing officers and theft
of lost/mislaid property;
Carnell Lamar Furlow, 40, Barnesville, probation
violation and three counts child support lockup
order;
Stephanie Nichole Garrett, 28, Barnesville, two
counts disorderly;
Kenneth Wayne Goins, 40, Barnesville, child sup-
was taken into custody. She was later identified as
39-year-old Patricia Ann Mullinax. She said had no
drugs on her person.
When strip-searched at the jail, Mullinax was found
to be in possession of meth, Xanax and Vyvanse. Mul
linax was jailed on charges of giving a false name, pos
session of meth, possession of Schedule I controlled
substances, possession of Schedule II controlled
substances, crossing guard lines with drugs and giv
ing false information.
On March 20, Sgt. Wayman Henson was running
radar on High Falls Road near Regions South Drive
when he clocked a Jeep Cherokee running 68 mph.
in a 45 mph. zone and stopped it. Upon approach, he
detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle and on
the person of the driver 19-year-old Chase K. Adams.
Adams said he did not use marijuana. He was
cuffed while a probable cause search of the Jeep was
conducted. Henson found a smoked blunt in the car
along with a vape cartridge containing THC oil. In a
fake Monster can with a false bottom, Henson found
a bag of marijuana. He also located a Ruger 9 mm.
handgun.
Adams went to jail charged with possession of
a controlled substance, possession of marijuana,
possession of drug related objects, possession of a
firearm during the commission of a crime and a super
speeder violation. The Jeep was impounded.
On March 22, Dep. Justyn Weaver worked an un
ruly juvenile case at a home at 128 Lamar County Line
Road.
On March 22, Dep. Weaver was dispatched to a
home at 430 Trice Road where a woman reported a
five-year-old came home from a visit with his father
with an injury.

William Jarrod Oglesby, 38, Barnesville, probation
violation;
Melecia Martinez Reyes, 47, Macon, driving while
unlicensed and speeding;
Taymary Ogletree Spires, 45, Forsyth, possession
of methamphetamine with intent and two counts no
brake lights or working turn signals;
John David Thompson, 37, Barnesville, arrested for
another agency;
Jeremiah Elijah Vansipe, 20, Barnesville, failure to
appear;
Jeremy Lee Wall, 26, Barnesville, theft of services.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 130
calls. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to
eight 911 calls. Lamar County Fire Fighters responded
to 19 911 calls. Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to
two 911 calls. Community Ambulance Service re
sponded to 59 calls. There were six accidents. Lamar
County Sheriff’s Deputies served 11 state warrants
and issued 28 traffic citations.

POLICE REPORT
Between Monday, March 22 and Monday, March 29
the Barnesville Police Department made the following
arrests:
Destin Jenkins, 19, 345 West Ln., Fayetteville, theft
by taking.
Stephanie Garrett, 28, 106 11th St., Barnesville,
disorderly.
There were 135 calls for service including: 19 secu
rity checks, three loud music, one welfare check, one
burglary, seven domestics, 17 foot patrols, 17 meet in
person, 32 suspicious persons/vehicles, two suicide/
attempts, one speeding, three accidents, four ambu
lance needed, one bond approval, one civil matter,
10 alarms, one drug traffic, two pickup prisoners and
one mental subject.
They issued 15 citations including: one driving
with suspended tag, one improper left turn, one fail
ure to maintain lane, one no tail lights, one tag light
required, one operating vehicle with altered suspen
sion, three disorderly and one theft by taking.
