Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period April
7-13, 2021.
On April 7, Sgt. Bossie Davis responded to Cedar
Ridge Road where a woman who was on her way to
get the mail was bitten by a small dog. She had previ
ously spoken to a little girl who was looking for the
dog. Davis determined the dog crossed over from
Monroe County to stage its attack and fled back to
that jurisdiction after the bite. Animal control was
summoned.
On April 7, Sgt. Wayman Henson was dispatched
to Frank’s Automotive where he met with a regional
supervisor for U-Haul about a truck that had been re
covered in Forsyth. The truck was stolen in Bluffton,

Another Silverado that had been stolen in Marietta
was also dropped off at Frank’s, an authorized U-Haul
Dealer, by an unknown person.
On April 7, Lt. Shane Moore responded to Ranew’s

mental state. He admitted taking ecstasy and Adderall
and went to jail charged with criminal trespass.
On April 11, Dep. Patrick Saunders was dispatched
to the intersection of Cook and Lamar County Line

doned in the woods. A witness told Saunders he saw
a woman walking in the other direction. Dep. Destiny
Valenzuela spotted the woman, 30-year-old Macy
Moore, trying to hide in an apartment and returned
her to the scene. Her boyfriend told deputies they
had been in the car when an altercation ensued. He
said he and Moore’s children got out of the vehicle
before Moore wrecked it.
Moore appeared to have been drinking. She went
to jail charged with hit and run, failure to stop at a
stop sign and expired registration.
On April 12, Sgt. Davis worked a hit-and-run on
Liberty Hill Road. A man reported he saw a vehicle

The victim could not describe the vehicle and the
at-fault driver could not be located.
On April 12, Dep. Holt was dispatched to High
