Frederick Fuller, Sr.
Pastor Marcus (Slug) Frederick Fuller, Sr., age 49
of Barnesville, went to be with his Lord and Savior
on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Pastor Fuller was born
December 22, 1971 at
Upson County Hospital, to
the proud parents of Pas
tor F.E. Fuller Jr. and First
Lady Gloria Fuller. He was
educated at Lamar County
Comprehensive School
where he graduated with
the class of 1989. Marcus
also graduated from The
Atlanta Art Institute of
Atlanta, Georgia. He joined
Providence Community
Church at an early age and began serving the church
in many different capacities including, Sunday School
teacher, worship leader, bass guitarist, and minister
of music. Pastor Fuller became an Ordained Minister
of the Gospel in 1995. He was Pastor and Founder
of, “From Darkness to Light International” and later
began “Word of Grace Christian Church” in Griffin,
Georgia. He was employed at Southern Wise Inc. for
many years. He continued to do the Lord’s work until
his health declined.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish all the sweet
memories, his loving and devoted wife of 24 years,
Jackie Fuller; children, Marcus Fuller Jr., Trinity P.
Fuller, Joi G. Fuller, Joshua E. Fuller; parents, Mr. and
Mrs. F.E. Fuller Jr.; siblings, Veronica (Robert) Taylor,
Freeman (Celestine) Fuller 111, Feginal B. Fuller, Min
ister Ferhanda (Pastor Stephen) Whitaker, Minister
Jeremie (Angela) Fuller, and Dovie L.A. Fuller and a
very special mother-in-law whom he loved dearly, Pa
tricia McCord. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from
6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 16, 2021
at 11 a.m. at Griffin First Assembly. Interment fol
lowed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Betty Ann
Williams Harrell
Mrs. Betty Ann Williams Harrell, age 75, of Barnes
ville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 17,
2021, at Pike Manor.
Mrs. Harrell was born on Thursday, January
03,1946 in Griffin, Georgia. She was the daughter of
the late Elmer Leroy Williams and the late Annie Mae
White Williams. Betty was also preceded in death by
her husband, Samuel Alexander Harrell. She worked
at Aldora Mills as a purchasing manager. Betty played
basketball for Milner High School, where they went to
state. She loved to read and watch TV.
Betty is survived by her daughters and sons-in law,
Samantha & Dane Bishop, Amanda & Brian Woods,
Crystal & David Wingfield; grandchildren, Calvin Ad
ams, Cayla Bishop, Cara Bishop, Justin Boyett, Abigail
Foster, Conner Woods, Joseph Foster, Dylan Woods,
and Samuel Wingfield; great-grandchildren, Memphis
Boyett and Bentley Boyett.
A graveside service for Mrs. Betty Harrell was con
ducted on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Lamar
Memory Gardens.

"Mimi” Patrick
Marion W. Patrick, Mimi, passed away on May 25,
2021.
Mimi was born to Col. James M. Wilson, USAF and
Annette Faircloth Wilson on September 30, 1947 in
Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from the Air
Academy High School in 1965 and attended Gordon
College in Barnesville, Georgia. She moved to St.
Simons Island, Georgia in 1978 and was the Catering
Director for FLETC for numerous years. She moved
to Jacksonville, Florida in 2007 to be near her grand
sons, Alexander and Zachary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her
son, James Wilson Patrick.
She is survived by two sisters, Jane Thrasher and
Jackie Muzio, her daughter and son-in-law, Heather
P. and Donald Metcalf, and her grandsons, Alexander
and Zachary Metcalf.
A memorial remembering Mimi will be at Hen
dricks Avenue Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida
on June 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM.

Freida Speir Ham
November 10,1929 -- June 18, 2021
Freida Speir Ham died peacefully on June 18,
2021, at the age of 91 after a brief illness. Freida was
born in Ellabell, GA, to Mamie Rahn Speir and Henry
Lee Speir, Sr. She grew up in Pembroke, GA, in Bryan
County and attended
Richmond Hill High School
during the time when
Henry Ford was active in
the community holding ac
tivities and dances for the
students. She then attend
ed the Savannah Business
School. She worked for
the Department of Trans
portation in Savannah and
later for the Bryan County
Board of Education.
She met Bill Ham in Pembroke while he was work
ing at his uncle’s Chevrolet dealership. They were
married on July 17, 1955 in Pembroke. In 1963, they
moved to Barnesville with their three young children
where they started a business, raised their family,
and were active in the community and church for the
remainder of their lives.
She has been an active member of First Baptist
Church of Barnesville volunteering in Vacation Bible
School, Sunbeams, G.A.’s and R.A.’s with her children.
She was a member of the Martha Sunday School
Class.
Freida was preceded in death by her husband of
63 years, William Joel Ham, Jr., her daughter, Emily
Ham Conger, and two brothers, Henry Speir, Jr. and
Melvin Speir. She is survived by her two children, Wil
liam Joel Ham, 111 (Betty) of Bolingbroke, and Melissa
Ham Sellars (Ben) of Watkinsville; five grandchildren:
Margarette Conger of Griffin, Madison Ham Brooks
(Andrew) of Syracuse, NY, Meredith Conger of Zebu-
Ion, Joel Ham of Atlanta, and Barret Ham of Macon;
and three sisters: Joan Speir Purvis of Lynchburg,
VA, Olivia Speir Harvey of Pembroke, and Sandra
Speir McBeth of Homestead, FL, and many nieces and
nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested dona
tions to First Baptist Church of Barnesville, 200 Ze-
bulon Street, Barnesville, GA 30204 or Little Children
of the World Ministries, 333 Sims Street, P. 0. Box 37,
Barnesville, GA 30204.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday,
June 22, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Barnesville.
The family will greet friends the day of the service
from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Rev.
Garth Forster will officiate.

Mary Frances
Brooks Smith
Mrs. Mary Frances Brooks Smith, age 68, of Barnes
ville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 17,
2021 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Smith was born on Friday, June 12,1953 in
Barnesville, Georgia to the late Sanford Brooks and
the late Elsie Nicholas Brooks. Frances was also pre
ceded in death by her sisters, Sarah Ritchie, Brenda
Brooks, Carol Brooks and brother, Jimmy Nicholas.
She worked at Aldora General Tire as a weaver. She
loved baking cakes and spoiling her grandchildren.
Frances attended the Forsyth Apostolic Church.
Frances is survived by her husband of 45 years,
Dwight Smith; children, Kathy & Jeff Sheets, Krystal
& Eddie Nestlehutt, and Doug Smith; grandchildren,
Destin Bright, Erica Smith, Bristol Nestlehutt, Jade
Nestlehutt; brothers and sisters-in-law, David & Lun
Brooks, Sam and Cathy Brooks, and Bill Brooks;
sisters and brothers-in-law; Pam & George New, Lea &
Johnny Kendricks, and Sandra Lohnes; several nieces
and nephews.
A funeral service for Mrs. Frances Smith was held
on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Breedlove
Memorial Chapel. Interment followed in Greenwood
Cemetery. Friends visited the family one hour prior to
the service.
